Separated in war, united by love — the love story of Jon Snow and Ygritte on Game of Thrones saw a tragic end. However, it is not so in real life. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who solidified their on-screen romance, are now engaged. As soon as the news surfaced online, fans were ecstatic and couldn’t believe their eyes. Ever since GOT’s power couple came together on the show, their love affair became the grist for gossip mills. But it was only during the Olivier Awards in London that the two made their red carpet debut as a couple, confirming all speculations.

Now, after being together for five years, the two went the cute traditional British way to announce their engagement news to the world. Published under the ‘Forthcoming Marriages’ section of the national daily, it read, “Mr KC Harington and Miss RE Leslie… The engagement is announced between Kit, the younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, the middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.”
