Asus recently had its Z01HDA smartphone pass certification on China’s certification website TENAA. Asus Z01HDA is the model number of the upcoming Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom. The company has already launched a number of phones in the Zenfone 3 series, including the Zenfone 3 Laser, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Max, and Zenfone 3 Laser.

Asus Z01HDA comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) and is powered by a 2GHz Snapdragon 625 SoC. The phone appears to have three options for RAM – 2GB, 3GB and 4GB, along with three storage options 16GB/32GB/64GB.

The phone is backed by a massive 4,850 mAh battery, and is running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. According to the TENAA webpage, Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom will feature a single 16MP rear camera, unlike what the image on the website (which clearly shows a dual-rear setup) shows. According to GSMArena, the rear camera setup will be 12MP + 13MP, while the front camera will be a 13MP shooter.

Asus Z01HDA weighs 170 grams and has 154.3 x 77 x 7.99 mm dimensions. The phone will be available in three colour options – Luxury Gold, New Crafts Silver and Navy Black. Even though Asus has not given any dates as to the launch of the phone, it should not take long considering it has passed certification.

The company plans to set up shop in Daman with the production expected to start this month. This will be the third smartphone to be manufactured by Asus in India after the Zenfone Go and Zenfone 2 Laser.
