The April 25 earthquake in Nepal has killed over 2,200 men, women and children, devastated their towns and villages, destroyed roads, communication links. The number of dead is feared to go up as relief and rescue get under way. It may be months before the full magnitude of the tragedy becomes clear. On the Indian side, too, there have been deaths and damage. To help residents in the disaster zone pick up the pieces of what was once their lives, The Indian Express has set up a Relief Fund.
