UP Minister Rajendra Rana dies after battling cancer

khilesh recalled his contribution to formation of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in 2002 where he had managed the support of several MLAs for SP.

UP Minister of State (independent charge) Rajendra Singh Rana (52) died after a prolonged illness on Tuesday. Rana, who was the lone SP MLA in Saharanpur and represented Deoband Assembly seat, was battling cancer for quite some time. He died at a private hospital in Noida.

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, state minister Azam Khan, Samajwadi Party leaders Shivpal Yadav, Rajendra Choudhary and several others reached Rana’s ancestral village at Deoband in Saharanpur to offer their condolences.

Akhilesh recalled his contribution to formation of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in 2002 where he had managed the support of several MLAs for SP.
