Kokrajhar attack: No one will be spared, says Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal
The CM, who also chaired a meeting of Unified Command, comprising Army, central forces and state police in Kokrajhar, said security forces have already intensified operations against NDFB(S).

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who Sunday visited Kokrajhar where gunmen allegedly belonging to Songbijit faction of NDFB killed 14 people last week, said that his government has asked security forces to go all-out against the rebels.
“We have a zero tolerance approach towards terrorism. We are fully committed towards protecting life and property of the people. However strong any force may be behind the Friday’s incident, the government is going to find them out and take stern action against them. No one will be spared,” Sonowal said.
The CM, who also chaired a meeting of Unified Command, comprising Army, central forces and state police in Kokrajhar, said security forces have already intensified operations against NDFB(S). He dismissed the denial issued by NDFB(S) in which the outfit claimed that it had not carried out Friday’s attack. Sonowal said all the evidence collected so far prove that it was the NDFB(S) which had carried out the attack at Balajan Tiniali weekly market, about 12 km from Kokrajhar.
Former CM and Asom Gana Parishad leader Prafulla Kumar Mahanta also visited Kokrajhar with some MLAs from his party.
