Government blocks pro-IS websites

The websites, allegedly spreading IS propaganda and manuals on bomb-making, were blocked after a red flag was raised by the Intelligence Bureau.

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, the nodal agency dealing with cyber security threats, has blocked two pro-Islamic State websites and two Facebook pages allegedly being run from J&K.

The websites, allegedly spreading IS propaganda and manuals on bomb-making, were blocked after a red flag was raised by the Intelligence Bureau. Around 55 to 60 websites and pages on social media have been blocked this year for posting terror propaganda.
