Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi was taken into custody on Thursday by police for allegedly flashing a group of school girls, according to Manorama. The girls, studying at a prominent school in Pathirippalam, complained to the police that a man sitting in a car flashed at them near Pathirippala market in Ottappallam. The girls noted the car number and reported it to the police. The car belongs to Ravi, but the actor denied any involvement in the incident.

“The car number mentioned in the complaint belongs to me. But it could not have been my car. I think the students took down the number of the car wrongly and coincidentally it turned out to be my car’s number,” Ravi told Manorama.

The actor claimed he was innocent as the girls did not mention his name in their complaint and the police registered an FIR against an unidentified person. Ravi recently played the part of a police officer in the Malayalam movie Kathakali.
