Hindu youth found dead in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, 3 die in clash

According to sources, the 19-year-old was in love with a Muslim girl.

Three persons were killed as a mob set over a dozen houses belonging to Muslims on fire after a kidnapped Hindu youth was found dead in Muzaffarpur’s Saraiya village on Sunday.

The youth, Bhartendu Kumar, had been missing for a couple of days. According to sources, the 19-year-old was in love with a Muslim girl.

This afternoon, police said, Kumar’s body was found from near the house of ‘Vikki’, who had been accused of kidnapping him. Muzaffarpur DM Anupam Kumar said, “It was a clash between two groups.”

Muzaffarpur SSP R K Mishra has reached the spot. Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi is in touch with DGP P K Thakur over the incident.
