Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi postponed

The romantic comedy Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi to release on Feb 13 has been postponed.

'Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi', starring seasoned actors Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, will hit theatres Feb 13, 2015 - a day before Valentine's Day.

‘Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi’, starring seasoned actors Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, was scheduled to release on February 13 one day before Valentine’s Day has been postponed.

The release of the Rishi Kapoor- Paresh Rawal starrer Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi that was scheduled to release on February 13 has been postponed.

The new date has not been locked but will be announced soon. The romantic comedy also features Vir Das, Prem Chopra Payal Ghosh, Jinal Belani, Divya Seth, Bharati Achrekar and Tiku Talsania in pivotal roles.

“Actually the release date was sent by the publicist without informing us. But yes, the shooting of the film was delayed because two of our actors, Rishi Kapoor and Vir Das fell prey to dengue and then Paresh Rawal got busy with the elections.

In fact, 10 per cent of the shoot still remains, and we will be shooting this month,” said Sanjay Chhel, the film’s director.

The story revolves around a Punjabi and a Gujarati characters played by Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal respectively. Gujarat based Bharat Patel of Bholenath Movies is the producer of this film.
