Ranveer Singh’s PDA with rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone and kiss with Karan Johar

The concept of ‘roasting’ is very common in the West with the likes of legends Joan Rivers, Russel Brand, Ricky Gervais, Charlie Sheen among others being humiliated and insulted by their peers in front of the common public. AIB – Knockout too did the same but for a good reason – the event raised over Rs 40 lakh for various charity organisations.

And when the concept was thought of being welcomed in India, AIB chose probably the most sporting actors of the lot, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. Since Karan Johar also almost roasts celebs and stars in his talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’, he was also invited to be a part of the venture. Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha were a part of the audience.

We hear that most of the jokes revolved around Ranveer’s womanizing ways, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun’s educational qualifications. Later, Ranveer and Arjun took their turn in insulting the comedians. And most of what happened on stage was impromptu and unrehearsed.

Since the shoot, the stars who attended who were at the event have been posting their reactions on Twitter.

The ones that really interested us were Deepika Padukone’s tweets. She chose two tweets to congratulate the team; one to thank everybody associated and the other to say, “Proud of you Ranveer…”

Awww! Now that’s sweet. Well! The PDA wasn’t just limited to exchange of tweets. At the main event, the lovely lady was seen in close proximity with Ranveer Singh. The duo was also seen hugging each other, quite affectionately.

Talking of PDA, another form that made headlines with this event also involves Ranveer Singh, sans a Deepika or an Arjun. Ranveer shed off all his inhibitions and went ahead and kissed Karan Johar. Not only this, the ‘kiss’ is said to be ‘on lips’. Though we don’t confirm the authenticity of the gossip, we certainly like the gossip.

And another gossip that makes way with this event is not so pleasant. We hear, the AIB artists made fun of Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan. They apparently questioned Arjun over his relationship with Arpita (read: they are exes) calling her ‘ugly’. To this, no reaction either positive or negative, came from either Arjun who is a self proclaimed ‘Salman Ka Fan’ or Sonakshi Sinha who Salman has launched into movies. The topic has been on Twitter since the morning and Arjun and Sonakshi are being criticised for not standing up to their friend’s dignity.

All in all, the event came with its highs and lows, much in the name of ‘roasting’, we guess!
