Dilwale Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol to appear on Pakistan TV shows

With Pakistan slowly becoming an important market for Bollywood films, Dilwale Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have appeared on two popular Pakistani morning shows.

With Pakistan slowly becoming an important market for Bollywood films, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, who star in upcoming “Dilwale”, directed by Rohit Shetty, have appeared on two popular Pakistani morning shows.

Shah Rukh, Kajol along with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, who also star in ‘Dilwale’, appeared on the morning shows recorded in Dubai with the hosts Shaista Lodhi and Sanam Jung.

The entire cast of the film were in Dubai for the promotion of their upcoming film.

“Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are popular on both sides of the border and they have a huge fan following in Pakistan. There is also a lot of anticipation before the release of ‘Dilwale’ so we scheduled the special episodes of the morning shows in Dubai with them,” an official for Hum TV channel said. Hum TV channel which airs the morning shows, “Jago Pkistan Jago” and “Sitaray Ki Subha” will air the shows on December 17 with the film due to be released in Pakistan this Friday.

Nadeem Mandviwalla a prominent distributor and exhibitor said although another big budget Bollywood film “Bajirao Mastani” is also due to release next Friday, the advance bookings for “Dilwale” has been at record levels.

The advance bookings in the cineplexes in Karachi and Lahore are at their peak with shows sold out for December, he said.
