Punjab Roadways bus gutted in fire, passengers safe

The driver of the bus sensing some technical glitch dropped all the passengers at Dehlon bus stop and soon after the fire broke out in the bus.

A major tragedy was averted when an air conditioned bus of PRTC (Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation) caught fire near Dehlon on Saturday.

The driver of the bus sensing some technical glitch dropped all the passengers at Dehlon bus stop and soon after the fire broke out in the bus.

The fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames.

Reportedly, the bus was on the way to Malerkotla from Ludhiana and some technical glitch developed as they reached near Dehlon. The driver of the bus informed PRTC depot and he was asked to drop the passengers at nearest bus stand.

The driver dropped the 35 passengers at Dehlon bus stand and vacated the bus. The AC bus caught fire as the driver jumped from the bus. The incident happened on the road from Ludhiana to Sangrur.
