TMC MP Thakur passes away

Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha MP from the Bongaon (North) constituency, Kapil Krishna Thakur passed away on Monday at Belle Vue hospital here. According to hospital authorities, Thakur, 73, had died of respiratory failure.

“Kapil Krishna Thakur was admitted to the hospital at 12.10 pm today in a critical condition and he breathed his last at 12.34 pm owing to lung failure,” spokesperson of Belle Vue Clinic said.

Thakur was the elder son of Binapani Debi Thakurani, the chief advisor of the All India Matua Mahasabha.

Elected as an MP in 2014 , Thakur was also the member of the standing committee on labour.
