Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the abduction and sexual assault of the Malayalam actress, has alleged that Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan used to give him money but she was unaware of the conspiracy. Kavya was questioned along with her mother last month in the case.

A complaint filed by one Gireesh Babu, a Kalamassery native, led to Aju Varghese's arrest. His arrest was recorded after the Kerala High Court refused to entertain the actor's plea to quash the proceedings against him based on the complaint. He even submitted an affidavit from the survivor that said she has no interest in pressing charges against her 'friend'.

The teaser of Velipadinte Pusthakam starring Mohanlal in the lead role, was released on Tuesday. The film, which is directed by Lal Jose, has Anna Reshma Rajan, Salim Kumar, Siddique, Priyanka Nair, Sarath Kumar and others in lead roles. It will release on August 31.

Kerala High Court rejected Dileep's bail plea for the second time. Dileep was arrested on July 10, following hours of questioning in the sensational case that shook the entire film fraternity. The survivor was held hostage in her own car and allegedly assaulted by a group of men led by Pulsar Suni on February 17.
