Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8: Meet the contestants

Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 had its grand launch on Sunday. Kannada movie star Kichcha Sudeep returned as the show’s host and the contestants to enter the house are Dhanushree, Shubha Poonja, Shankar Ashwath, Vishwanath Haveri, Vaishnavi Gowda, KP Aravind, Nidhi Subbaiah, Shamanth, Geetha Bharathi Bhat, Manju Pavagada, Divya Suresh, Chandrakala Mohan, Raghu Gowda, Prashanth Sambargi, Divya Uruduga, Rajeev and Nirmala Chanappa. Dhanushree

Dhanushree, the first contestant to enter Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8, was a TikTok sensation who now produces content on Instagram.

Shubha Poonja

Actor Shubha Poonja was approached by the showrunners for the last seven seasons and she finally accepted the offer for the eighth season. At the launch event, she shared it with the host Sudeep that it was her fiance who convinced her to take up the opportunity as he feels that she makes 'boring' choices on the work front.

Shankar Ashwath

Actor Shankar Ashwath is the son of legendary actor late K.S. Ashwath. After he did not get enough acting opportunities, he became a cab driver.

Vishwanath Haveri

This 19-year-old Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8 contestant is a singer. He is a native of Dharwad and aspires to make it big as a playback singer. He is the youngest male contestant in the history of Bigg Boss Kannada.

Vaishnavi Gowda

Vaishnavi Gowda became famous for her role in the popular television serial Agnisakshi. At the grand launch event of Bigg Boss Kannada 8, she vowed not to lose the smile on her face come what may during the next 100 days.

KP Aravind

KP Aravind entered the show on his bike. He is an Indian off-road motorcycle racer. He has participated and made a mark in international racing competitions. He has done several television commercials as a stunt double for big celebrities and also had a cameo in Dulquer Salmaan's Bangalore Days.

Nidhi Subbaiah

Nidhi Subbaiah has done several Kannada films, including Pancharangi and Krishnan Marriage Story. She also played a role in the Bollywood film OMG! Oh My God.

Shamanth

Shamanth is popular for his funny videos on Instagram. Shamanth has also written, directed and acted in the web series, Virgin Boys.

Geetha Bharathi Bhat

Geetha Bharathi Bhat marked her entrance into Bigg Boss house with a singing performance. She talked about how she came to terms with her body image issues and turned them into her strength.

Manju Pavagada

Manju Pavagada came to Bengaluru with the dream of becoming an actor but struggled for a long time. His major break came with the opportunity to take part in the talent show, Majaa Bharatha.

Divya Suresh
