Ramdev turns black money into white: Digvijay

Singh has asked Baba to name the person who had secretly donated him a helicopter.

Continuing his tirade against Baba Ramdev even after the latter called off his fast,Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said that he was happy that the nautanki (drama) has ended. If he wants to continue his campaign (against black money) then why did he call off his fast? If he had to call off his fast why did he did begin it, he asked, taking a dig at the yoga guru.

Singh asked Baba to name the person who had secretly donated him a helicopter. He accused Ramdev of turning the black money received as donations, into white. Baba, who is demanding that the names of the people with black money should be made public, should name the person who had secretly donated a helicopter to him, Singh told reporters at his hometown in Raghogarh on Saturday evening. Baba is bringing secret donations (black money) under the tax free category, making it white, and accumulating huge capital, Singh alleged. Baba was in the business of turning black money into white. It was against the Centres Prevention of Money Laundering Act, he said, demanding an inquiry into it.

Unlike his party colleagues who chose not to criticise Ramdev on Sunday, the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister said that a probe into the charges of money laundering and land-grabbing against Ramdev should continue to know how he created his assets. Singh accused the yoga guru of fooling people by making claims on his website that he can cure cancer and what not,and said that these claims should also be probed separately.

Taking a potshot at Baba,he wondered from where the figure of Rs 400 lakh crore black money stashed abroad has cropped up. Slowly and gradually, things are becoming clear, which is why,the RSS and BJP have started distancing themselves from Baba, he added.
