Ministry flouts recruitment rules

The J&K Health Ministry recently appointed five top officials Director Health Services,Jammu; Director Family Welfare,J&K; Director Health Services,Kashmir; Mission Director NRHM and Director AIDS Control Society in violation of recruitment rules that govern the appointments.

The J&K High Court later quashed the appointments of Dr Rakesh Khajuria and Dr Ashok Sharma as Director Family Welfare and Director Health,Jammu,respectively. But the officials continue to work in violations of the courts directions. Sources said Health Minister Sham Lal has issued instructions to change the rules instead of replacing the directors.
