In one of his most direct warnings yet since the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, President Donald Trump on Friday said he would not hesitate to order another military strike against Tehran if intelligence showed it continuing to enrich uranium at concerning levels, AFP reported.
A reporter asked Trump: “If the intelligence report concludes that Iran can enrich uranium to a level that concerns you, would you consider bombing the country again?”
“Yes. Without question, absolutely,” Trump replied.
Donald Trump says the U.S. will demand external control over Iran’s nuclear program—possibly via the IAEA or direct American oversight.

Speaking during a press conference at the White House, Trump also doubled down on his earlier remarks that Iran’s nuclear facilities had been “obliterated” in last week’s coordinated US strikes. “We finished them off,” he said, dismissing media reports that US intelligence estimates suggest the damage set Iran’s programmes back only by a few months.
The president also reiterated his demand for full transparency from Iran ahead of possible nuclear talks, insisting the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) — or a trusted body approved by the US — must be given full access to inspect Iranian facilities. “They’ll have to allow the IAEA or somebody we trust — including ourselves — to go in and verify,” Trump said.
Iran’s top diplomat has said US strikes on three of its nuclear sites inflicted “serious damage” and complicated the chances of restarting diplomatic negotiations.
Trump, however, claimed Iran still wants a deal. “They want to meet,” he said, without giving further details about the talks. “We may get something done — or not. I don’t care either way.”

Trump also briefly touched on Russia’s war in Ukraine, hinting at a potential diplomatic development. “President Putin called up and he said, ‘I’d love to help you with Iran.’ I said, ‘Do me a favour: I’ll handle Iran. Help me with Russia.’ We got to get that one settled. And I think something’s going to happen there.”
