In an apparent reference to the September 10 debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, Republican candidate Donald Trump has suggested that he might not be willing to debate because the ABC Network is hostile towards Republicans, the NBC news reported.

Trump spoke to the media in a Vietnamese restaurant in Falls Church, Virginia and claimed that he had watched ABC News’ “This Week” on Sunday and he didn’t like how Senator Tom Cotton was treated over there.

Trump told reporters, “When I looked at the hostility of that, I said, ‘Why am I doing it? Let’s do it with another network.’ I want to do it.”

In a direct question whether he will participate in the September 10 debate on ABC Network, Trump stated, “We’re thinking about it. We’re thinking about it. They also want to change the rules. You know, the deal was we keep the same rules. Now, all of a sudden they want to make a change in the rules because she can’t answer questions. Why doesn’t she do something like I’m doing right now? She can’t talk. We can’t have another dummy as a president.”

The former President of the United States also said that he is ready for “tough” questions but wants to have a “fair” debate.

US media started reporting that Trump might opt out of the September 10 debate with Democratic candidate Kamala Harris as Trump, in the chat with reporters also claimed, “ABC Network really should be shut out”.

Both the presidential candidates have agreed upon the dates and network earlier and it was finalised that the presidential debate would happen on September 10 on ABC Network but now Trump is suggesting otherwise.
