Trump suggests he may cancel September 10 debate with Kamala Harris

Trump told reporters, “When I looked at the hostility of that, I said, ‘Why am I doing it? Let’s do it with another network.’ I want to do it.”

In a direct question whether he will participate in the September 10 debate on ABC Network, Trump stated, “We’re thinking about it. We’re thinking about it. They also want to change the rules. You know, the deal was we keep the same rules. Now, all of a sudden they want to make a change in the rules because she can’t answer questions. Why doesn’t she do something like I’m doing right now? She can’t talk. We can’t have another dummy as a president.”

The former President of the United States also said that he is ready for “tough” questions but wants to have a “fair” debate.

US media started reporting that Trump might opt out of the September 10 debate with Democratic candidate Kamala Harris as Trump, in the chat with reporters also claimed, “ABC Network really should be shut out”.

Both the presidential candidates have agreed upon the dates and network earlier and it was finalised that the presidential debate would happen on September 10 on ABC Network but now Trump is suggesting otherwise.

With around 70 days left for the November polls, it is going to be one of the tightly fought US elections in the times of war raging in Middle East and Russia-Ukraine territory.
