Iran will continue its nuclear enrichment programme despite serious damage to its facilities during the recent conflict with Israel, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Fox News in an interview, Reuters reported.

Araghchi said the programme had paused due to the extent of the damage but made clear that Iran would not abandon it.

“It is stopped because, yes, damages are serious and severe,” he said. “But obviously, we cannot give up on enrichment because it is an achievement of our own scientists. And now, more than that, it is a question of national pride.”
