The podcast host Shivank Joshi said the travel problem in Bengaluru might be solved by 2026 or 2027Bengaluru and its traffic have long been among the most talked-about topics on the internet. Almost every day, netizens share their frustration about getting stuck in the city’s endless jams or the challenges they face because of it. And Zepto founder Aadit Palicha is no exception – in fact, he calls it “one of the biggest problems of his life”.
Recently, Palicha appeared on the Exploring Minds podcast, where host Shivank Joshi asked him, “If a young guy comes to you and says, give me a problem statement of your life – something you’d be willing to pay to solve right now – what would that be?”
Palicha replied, “The biggest problem that I have in my life is the commute whenever I need to take a flight from where I stay in Bangalore to the airport. That’s like the most painful thing that I have to do one or two times a month.”
In response, Joshi said the travel problem might be solved by 2026 or 2027, as several companies were already working on it. “I’ll be very happy if that happens,” Palicha said with a laugh.
Palicha then went on to list a few more challenges he faces. “I’ve got too many places where I have to keep track of communications. I’ve got email, Slack, WhatsApp, LinkedIn… and on the first three especially, a lot of important conversations happen, so everything gets mixed up together. I’d rather have one interface where all that is happening,” he explained.
Joshi called it “a real founder’s problem,” to which Palicha agreed. When asked if any company was trying to solve this issue, he said, “I’ve heard about a startup called Beeper in Silicon Valley that was working on this a few years ago, but I’m not sure if it’s still running.”
When Joshi asked if there were any other problems he wanted to solve, Palicha said, “I love reading, and I think if I could get summaries – but much richer summaries – that would be great. Maybe like a repository of classes taught in colleges.” He referenced JSTOR, saying, “They have all the research material, but maybe there’s a way to get access to college lectures that are interesting.”
