A judge’s family in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, reckon a neighbour stole their beloved pet dog.

On May 16, Ahmed went to the judge’s house, complaining that the four-month-old dog bit his wife. Threatening to teach the pooch a lesson, he tried to get hold of it. The judge’s daughters joined their mother in trying to protect the dog, but in vain.

Ahmed summoned a dozen of his associates and threatened the judge’s family of ‘consequences’ if they don’t get out of his way. Ahmed and his aides absconded with the dog, a News24 report said. On learning about the incident, the judge, posted in Lucknow, called Ahmed and reached out to Ahmed over WhatsApp. Ahmed abused and threatened the judge too.
