Rent prices in cities like Mumbai are ever-increasing, making it almost impossible for many people to buy a house of their own.

Now a video that parodies the house tour videos made by real estate agents is raking in likes. The video shows a tiny apartment in Mumbai. It is humorous and yet manages to highlight the housing crisis in Mumbai.

In the now-viral clip, digital creator Sumit Palve espouses the value of the cramped apartment by showing the ingeniously made storage space, a narrow staircase, and the rare luxury of having an open terrace. Palve keeps insisting that the buyer needs to “compromise” even for a Rs 2.5 crore apartment because the property is in South Mumbai, which is considered to be a posh neighbourhood.

This clip has gathered over one lakh likes. Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “I was suffocating till he reached the terrace.” Expressing a similar sentiment another person wrote, “Where is the oxygen cylinder. I want one.”

The video also inspired much gratitude among the netizens. “I m from a hillside small town in North East. We live with naruto hills and rivers with lite population. I think i m blessed 😢😢 this is suffocating. Its sad when we think some people are actually living like this and spending more money,” an Instagram user wrote. Another person wrote, “My home is atleast 10x of this space, and we all siblings grew up thinking we have a small house.”
