‘Nische kar apni jeet karo’: Sikh regiment wins best marching contingent award

The Army’s Sikh Regiment has been selected for the annual Best Marching Contingent Judges Choice Award as its flawless drill and brilliant uniforms once again drew the attention of judges and spectators alike.

The Rajputana Rifles Regiment, the winner of the People’s Choice Award, was a strong competitor. The Rajputana Rifles, which is renowned for its bravery and historical significance in Indian military history, demonstrated its prowess with an equally stunning march.

“Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt gave away the best marching contingents and tableaux awards for the Republic Day Parade on January 30, 2024. He announced separate results—one by a panel of judges and other through an online public vote conducted by MyGov and congratulated all the winners,” reads the caption posted by the page @kiddan on Instagram.

As netizens could not hold back their excitement for the video, it went viral with over one million views and 14,000 likes. “Proud till date,” commented a user.

“Respect for Sikh regiment,” another user wrote.

“Support to all the regiments and the army. Proud to be an Indian,” posted another. A fourth added, ‘Nische kar apni jeet karo’
