Several foreigners have settled in India and are documenting their experiences in the country. From cultural shocks to praising the quickness of e-commerce delivery platforms and immersing themselves in local festivities, their social media posts have long captivated the internet. Iuliia Aslamova, a Russian woman living in Bengaluru for the last 11 years, shared her top three learnings from the country that impacted her life.

Sharing a post, Aslamova reflected on how India “impacted” and “moulded” her. She hailed India, calling the country and its people helpful and welcoming. “Hospitality in India is on a different level. People are so welcoming, open-hearted and helpful. Ask anyone how to reach place X, and everyone will try to help. Everyone!” she wrote.

Aslamova also noted that some of her friends have had challenges during their stay in India. However, she also wrote that “they had pre-defined stereotypes” about the country.

I have tons of stories where some friends of mine struggled with all possible challenges in India ( they had pre-defined stereotypes) and others, like me – had the most possible welcome to the country and saw all the beauty here,” she added.

“India is super safe. Read point 2,” she concluded.
