A man who was coming back from Bengaluru airport had a unique experience as he was the only passenger on a Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus.

Hariharen (@thisishariharen), from Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, took to X to share a selfie with the driver and conductor of the BMTC bus. He said these two men operated the bus only for him just to stick to the timings. He said they gave him good company and a safe ride back home.

“Was coming back from the airport, These 2 gentlemen operated the bus just for me, just to keep up the timings. Gave me good company and a safe ride back home. @peakbengaluru @BMTC_BENGALURU Felt weird to be the only guy in a big rapido in a city full of traffic,” he wrote on X.

“95₹ per km is the running cost of this bus,” commented a user. Another person said he also had a similar experience and shared a video of an empty bus. “Even I had a similar experience from the airport. You did the right thing by sending the note. I somehow missed it. Thanks,” he wrote.

“Yes, they are very punctual. I had availed of these services from Majestic Bus terminals. Running with only one passenger means their trust in it which in turn means more business,” wrote another netizen.

“There is nothing great in this, they are just doing their duty and following the timelines because that bus has to report at destination and again has to start journey to where it started. These buses work on rotations,” said another person.
