Pani puri remains one of the most beloved street foods in India. It is believed to have originated in Magadha, present-day Bihar, several hundred years ago, though its exact origins remain unconfirmed. The crispy balls are filled with chickpeas and potatoes mixed with spices and tangy tamarind water, and eaten with bare hands. However, Pria Warrick, a Delhi-based personality development coach, recently introduced a way to eat pani puri with a fork and spoon in the name of table etiquette.

In the viral video, Warrick displays how eating pani puris with bare hands can be problematic at times. She then introduces the fork and spoon to lift the ball, breaks the ball into two using a spoon, eats it, and then consumes the spicy water.

Sharing the video, Warrick wrote, “A beloved street delicacy, enjoyed with elegance. Yes, it’s possible to savour pani puri without compromising your makeup – or your grace. Here is the subtle techniques to indulge in your favourite flavours while maintaining poise and polish. Because refined dining isn’t limited to fine dining.”

“Why do you ruin up all Indian foods just for the heck of makeup! Better carry extra makeup in purse and do a touch up. We all get one life to live!” a third user reacted.
