Netizens concerned after Bihar bridge collapses into Bakra river even before its inauguration

After the incident, there was widespread panic in the area. People allege that poor quality materials were used in the construction of the bridge, leading to its collapse even before its inauguration.

It is claimed that efforts to repair the approach path of the bridge had recently been initiated by the department but the accident occurred before that could be completed.

Member of Parliament Pradeep Kumar Singh and BJP MLA Vijay Kumar Mandal have attributed it to negligent reporting and departmental apathy. They alleged that poor quality work was done at night during piling of the bridge. The MP called for a high-level investigation into the matter and demanded action against responsible officials and supervisors.

In another post, ANI shared a video with the caption, “On bridge collapse in Araria, Sikti MLA Vijay Kumar says, “The bridge has collapsed due to negligence by the construction company’s owner. We demand that the administration should conduct an investigation. ”

The video also caused a wave of panic among social media users. One user said, “It happens every year in Bihar. Its routine work.” Meanwhile, one more user said, “Garmi ki vajah se bridge ko bhi swimming karne ka man ho gaya lagta hai. Bihar main kuch bhi ho sakta hai.(Because of the heat, it seems even the bridge feels like swimming. Anything can happen in Bihar).”

Another user added, “Bihar and Bridge collapse is a never ending story.”
