Turbans have been a part of our traditional attires since centuries and tying it is regarded as an art. A man from Madhya Pradesh, however, has aced this art and created a world record as well.
Earlier this week, Aditya Pacholy, a resident of Betul in Madhya Pradesh, created a Guinness World Record after he tied a turban in just 14.12 seconds.
On Friday, the Guinness World Records shared a video of Pacholy’s successful record attempt in which he ties a Rajputi Rajasthani Pagdi on someone with swift hand moments in a public place, as onlookers watch him intently. This video has over 49,000 likes.
Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “I don’t know why but I am convinced i can break this record..”. Another person said, “He did not tie a Punjabi turban 🔥, because the Punjabi turban is difficult”.
This is not the first time that Pacholy has made a turban-related world record. Last year, on August 26, 2022, he got the Guinness World Record title for creating the world’s largest Rajputi Rajasthani Pagdi. This pagdi measured at 345.25 m².
As per the Guinness World Records, Pacholy has been tying turbans for over 15 years. He hopes to keep the art of turban making and tying alive by building world records around it.
