The internet is no stranger to gym stunts, but now a video that shows a man doing push-ups on top of a road signboard as traffic moves below him is going viral. The video was reportedly taken in Patnagarh, a town in the Bolangir district of Odisha. It is unclear what prompted the man to climb the signboard and do the push-ups.

This undated video was posted online by Instagram user Sambalpuri Mahani (@sambalpuri_mahani._). While sharing this video, Mahani wrote, “We don’t promote this type of risky stunt …this visual is only for entertainment purposes”.

So far, it has gathered over 59,000 likes. Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “He is the NDA candidate aspirant”.

Many people speculated that the person doing the pushups was probably intoxicated and did not indulge in the dangerous activity for social media engagement, as is the case with many stunts.

Earlier this month, three men were arrested after a video showing them drinking, dancing, and getting out of windows of a moving car surfaced online. One of the arrested men was also seen doing push-ups on the car’s roof while driving on Gurgaon’s Golf Course Road. The police also fined the owner of the vehicle with a Rs 6,500 penalty.

In March 2021, the Uttar Pradesh Police fined a man for doing push-ups over a moving car. The law enforcement agency also shared a video showing the offender apologising on camera and saying he will not perform such dangerous stunts again.
