Indian Railways constantly reminds people to be cautious at railway stations and crossings, but not everyone takes these warnings seriously. A viral video capturing a man at a railway crossing who, instead of waiting for the gates to open, lifts his bike on his shoulders and walks across the tracks, illustrates this disregard for safety.

Shared by the popular “Ghar Ke Kalesh” account on X, the clip has racked up over three lakh views. The caption said, “A guy lifted his bike on his shoulders to cross the railway barrier,” while the text on the video itself read, “Just another day at a railway crossing in India.”

With the video going viral, social media, much like the onlookers, erupted with a mix of disbelief and amusement. One user commented, “John Ebrahim wants his location.” Another one said, “Who says Ironman doesn’t exist in India? Marvel’s looking for this guy. Next superhero.” A third user wrote, “India is only for ultra pro max peoples.”

However, many pointed out the recklessness of such stunts. A user wrote, “Bike kya tum car kandhe par utha lo, train fir bhi nahi rukegi. Janta impress ho jayenge bhai, train nahi.” (Even if you carry a car on your shoulders instead of a bike, the train still won’t stop. People may be impressed, the train won’t be.) Another user commented, “Ye hai samay ki keemat ko janna, jaan jaaye par time waste naa hona chahiye.” (This is knowing the value of time—life may be lost, but time should never be wasted.)

This isn’t the first time someone has attempted a bizarre bike stunt. In 2022, a video showing a man hoisting his bike and climbing up a ladder to place it on top of a bus had gone viral.
