Kolkata Metro starts screening Tom and Jerry inside trains, video triggers wave of nostalgia

The move is aimed at helping Kolkata Metro commuters get rid of the monotony of travelling and enjoy the journey.

The Kolkata Metro has launched an initiative to keep kids entertained while they are travelling in a train. The authorities have started playing the famous cartoon show Tom and Jerry on the digital display screens inside the trains running on the North-South stretch.

The display usually shows the station names and route map.

The initiative is aimed at helping Metro commuters, especially kids, get rid of the monotony of travelling and enjoy the journey. The video shared by @memebharat has triggered a wave of nostalgia among all ages.

Such an innovative initiative is the first of its kind in Kolkata Metro and is sure to make the journey of kids entertaining as they would get an opportunity among their packed schedule to spend some time with Tom and Jerry, said several parents.
