Viral tweet about a gym disappearing without notice reminds people of Phir Hera Pheri’s Laxmi Chit Fund

This tweet soon gathered hundreds of likes. In another tweet, she wrote how Cult.fit would bombard her with marketing emails but they did not inform her about the outlet’s closure.

Got covid and took a 2 week break from the gym, come back today and the whole place is shut down and everything from my locker is gone 🙃

Interestingly, this tweet prompted many others to share similar experiences. A Twitter user wrote, “This happened with last year. No info at all. I go there and found the centre doesn’t exist anymore both physically and digitally.” Another person commented, “this had happened to me too, i had bought their membership two days before it happened. no notice, nothing.”

Many people jokingly referred to the now abandoned Cultfit outlet with the infamous Laxmi Chit Fund office from Phir Hera Pheri, a hit comedy from 2006.

In the comments, Cult.fit apologised for the inconvenience caused and assured Chhikara that they are investigating the matter and will soon reach out to her with an update.
