Sachin Tendulkar is one of the most famous personalities in India where he is adored by millions and often called the ‘God of Cricket’. Fans of the cricket legend would do anything for a chance to meet him.
The cricket icon, however, bumped into another legend of the game on the streets of London. Tendulkar took to Twitter to share photos with former West Indies cricketer Brian Lara whom he said he casually bumped into. And Tendulkar shared the images with a cheeky caption.
“Casually bumped into another keen golfer today!” Tendulkar wrote along with two laughing emojis and tagging the West Indies great. The photos showed the two cricketing icons walking next to each other, engaged in conversation while passersby seemed unperturbed.
Photographer Atul Kasbekar commented on the post and wrote, “Imagine walking on a London street and bumping into these two…!!!” “Two best batsman of all time.. world Best lefty righty combination,” a netizen wrote. “Two of the greatest batsmen in any era,” said another. “Greatest Left and Right handed batsman of cricket history together,” posted yet another.
Lara retired in 2007 after representing the West Indies in 299 ODIs and 131 Tests, scoring 10,405 and 11,953 runs, respectively. Tendulkar hung up his boots in 2013 after playing 200 Tests and 463 ODIs. Tendulkar is the highest run-scorer in Test matches and ODIs with 15,921 and 18,426 runs, respectively.
