The delivery executive said he had come to deliver the food because keeping someone hungry was not humane. (File photo) A man on Sunday shared online a heart-warming story about a gig worker who delivered food to him late at night even after the former provided a wrong address as he was not familiar with the location in Hyderabad.
Tamal Saha, a journalist, said he came back to his hotel room after a long day. As all the restaurants were shut, he ordered food on Swiggy. He said since he did not know much about Hyderabad, the location he entered went wrong. However, the delivery agent took all the trouble and drove 12 km to find him and deliver the food at 3 am in the night.
Saha said he had told the delivery executive over the phone that he had not eaten anything since morning. The executive said he had come to deliver the food because keeping someone hungry was not humane.
“A big shout out for the agent. His name is Mohammad Azam. He reinstated my faith in humanity, that there are good human beings alive. He is camera shy but he won my heart. It will remain my best memory of my #Telengana diary,” Saha wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
When Azam was leaving, Saha asked him whether he had eaten anything. Azam smiled and said he would have dinner after reaching home. Even though Saha offered to share his food, Azam refused and just told him to remember him in his prayers.
