Engineer’s creative pitch for Swiggy internship wows Internet, here’s how the company responded

An engineer is making heads turn with a creative post in which he explains why Swiggy should hire him for its social media team. He begins the pitch by addressing Swiggy as “Pookie.”

From ‘Jethalal’ to ‘Jal lijiye’, the engineer included several hilarious memes in his post. He explained that although he is an engineer by profession, he is also passionate about social media.

“Swiggy wale hire kare aur hum pitch na kare aisa toh ho nahi sakta! (Swiggy is hiring and it’s impossible for me not to post a pitch!),” the engineer wrote on LinkedIn.

“Dear Swiggy ki social media team, I saw you are looking for a social media intern. Toh yeh raha mera ek masaledaar pitch (So here’s my spicy pitch) to work in your social media team! P.S. If you like this pitch, tag the right folks at Swiggy!,” the post went on, adding, “Kya Swiggy muzhe hire karega? (Will Swiggy hire me?)”

The post quickly gained attention and the online platform also responded to it. Maintaining the humour, the company wrote, “Sharvin, Dekha humne pitch. Big boss ko pasand aaya toh batate hai (Sharvin, we saw the pitch. We’ll let you know if Bigg Boss likes it).”

Several professionals on LinkedIn reacted to the post, with a Swiggy employee commenting, “This is so cool! Reaching out to you.” Another user wrote, “This was very funny. Hope to see you as a swiggster.”

“Wow! Sharvin Shitole. This is the coolest thing I’ve seen on LinkedIn today,” a third user reacted.

In 2023, another man posted a hilarious job pitch for Swiggy, setting the Internet abuzz. Back then too the company had responded favourably to the post.
