Dog scares away leopard, moment caught on CCTV

Commenting on the video, a Twitter user wrote, “Dog was scared too ….still he tried his best to protect themselves and others ”. Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan noted that most likely the dog was just fortunate to escape the leopard’s attack. He wrote, “He was just lucky !!”.

People also said the dog should not have been kept outside the house by the owners at night. Echoing this view, a Twitter user wrote, “I have special kind of hate for people who leave their pet dogs outside!”.

This is not the only time that a dog “defeated” a leopard.

In February last year, IAS officer Awanish Sharan shared a video that showed an odd confrontation between the two animals. In the video, a dog can be seen lying on a road when a leopard tries to attack it. However, the dog holds its ground by incessantly barking at the leopard. The animals lock eyes with each other and the standoff ends with the leopard going back to the wilderness, leaving the dog unharmed.
