Desi mothers are known for their unmatched creativity when it comes to waking up their sleeping children. With a dash of drama, such as opening curtains, turning off the fan or air conditioning, or pulling away the blanket, they can turn even a normal morning into an event. A woman recently left the Internet in splits after she took an unconventional approach to wake her sleeping daughters.

According to the viral post, the woman hired local musicians with a dhol and a trumpet to their house and asked them to play the instruments in her daughters’ bedroom, where they were sleeping. The video begins with two musicians entering the bedroom, one playing a dhol and the other a trumpet. Their mission was quite different: to wake up the sleepy children. Moments later, they burst into an energetic rendition of the devotional song Shri Ram Jaanki Baithe Hai right beside the girls’ bed.

Startled by the sudden noise, the two half-asleep daughters can be seen peeking out from under their blankets before quickly covering their faces again. Sharing the video on Instagram, jist.news wrote, “Mother of the year indeed!
