The video begins with the driver, who is filming, confronting the armed passengerA disturbing incident from Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar has once again raised questions about public safety and how easily tempers flare on city roads. A viral video shows a man, wearing a kurta and jeans, threatening an Uber driver with what appears to be a gun, right in the middle of a crowded market.
As per an X post, the passenger had booked two rides at the same time. When both cabs reached the pickup spot, an argument broke out. The disagreement quickly escalated, with the man allegedly brandishing a pistol at one of the drivers.
The video begins with the driver, who is filming, confronting the armed passenger. He can be heard saying, “Pistol dikha rahay ho. Achay se dikhao. Chupa kyun rahay ho. Goli marogay mujhe? (You’re showing a pistol? Show it properly. Why are you hiding it? Are you going to shoot me?)” Despite the threat, the driver doesn’t back off.
Users have tagged Uber India and Delhi Police, demanding immediate action.

Once the clip surfaced online, reactions poured in. One commenter wrote, “The fault here lies entirely with the passenger. First, why book two rides at once? Drivers earn their living this way – anyone would be angry. But pulling out a pistol in the middle of the market is criminal!”
Another user said, “india is not for everyone. After seeing pistol also—again want to see it more loll. Why take risk bhai??”
One user commented, “People would have gone nuts if it was Bengaluru.”
A few, however, pointed out that ride cancellations can be frustrating for passengers too. “Drivers cancel so many times. Why doesn’t Uber pay a penalty to passenger for such cancellations? Passengers are forced to book multiple cabs due to this habit of drivers,” wrote one user.
So far, there’s no confirmation from the police on whether an FIR has been registered. Meanwhile, many are calling for stronger safeguards for cab drivers, stricter punishment for violent passengers, and a more balanced cancellation policy from Uber to prevent such confrontations in the first place.
