Coldplay’s upcoming concert in Ahmedabad in January 2025 has left many fans disappointed after tickets sold out in under an hour. The tickets for the highly anticipated show, scheduled for January 25, were released on BookMyShow at noon last Saturday and were quickly snapped up, leaving countless fans frustrated.

Many shared their experiences of being stuck in long online queues only to find that they still couldn’t get a ticket. To make matters worse, a screenshot of tickets being resold at exorbitant prices on platforms like Viagogo has gone viral. Some tickets have been listed for as high as Rs 9.9 lakh. For instance, a ticket in the upper-tier section is being resold for Rs 9,95,139.

On Viagogo, the South Premium section tickets are listed at Rs 2 lakh each, and the lowest-priced ones start at Rs 12,000. Out of the 950 tickets available for the January 25 Coldplay concert, many are now being sold at these inflated rates.

The post was shared on X with a caption, “Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concert tickets are being resold for as much as Rs 10 lakh.”

The band’s India tour, featuring several shows at Navi Mumbai’s D Y Patil Sports Stadium, has sparked huge excitement among fans. However, the soaring demand for Coldplay concert tickets has also led to frustration, especially with reports of tickets being resold illegally at inflated prices on secondary platforms.

After complaints, the Enforcement Directorate has stepped in, launching an investigation into these alleged unauthorised ticket sales.
