Video of boy playing with snake goes viral; the Internet is concerned: ‘Playing with life’

A heart-stopping video showing a child playing with a snake as if it’s a prop, has gone viral.

In the clip, which has garnered over 12 million views already, the boy is seen sitting on a single-seater sofa with a snake resting on his shoulder. First, the boy, catching the snake with both his hands, takes it over his head and bangs it on the chair. As the reptile slithers beside him, the boy catches it by the head to take a good look at it. Seeing the snake darting its tongue, the boy gets startled, and tries to push it off the sofa.

Despite the clear risk, the boy remains calm, unaware of the life-threatening danger.

The video was shared on Instagram by Vivek Kumar, who goes by the username “vivek_choudhary_snake_saver”. The clip has left many users deeply concerned. One user commented, “Don’t do so much that the children suffer any harm, take care of the child brother something will happen to the children for a like.’

Another user wrote, “Bachhe ko nhi pta ye kya h.. Pr agr dhokhe se asli saap aa gya aur bachhe ne pkd liya to jaan se jaega (The child doesn’t know what this is… But if a real snake appears by mistake and the child grabs it, he could lose his life).”

A third user said, “Brother, the child does not like this joke. You are playing with the life of the child, there is no trust of this animal.”

Meanwhile, snake encounters are becoming alarmingly frequent. In Visakhapatnam’s Pendurthi area, a man was left stunned after discovering a snake and its hatchlings inside his unused air conditioner (AC). Satyanarayana, whose house the incident took place in, had switched on his AC after a long time, and found an entire reptilian family nestled inside.
