A touching story from Bengaluru has been winning hearts online after an auto rickshaw driver went out of his way to return a passenger’s bag filled with cash that had been forgotten in his vehicle. His gesture of honesty has earned him praise from people across social media.

In the Instagram video now circulating widely, the passenger is heard thanking the driver for his integrity, saying the driver immediately returned the money without a second thought. The driver stands beside him, smiling shyly as the man expresses his gratitude and recounts how the incident restored his belief that “humanity is still alive somewhere.”

Social media users have been flooding the comments with appreciation.

One person wrote, “God bless him for his good deeds. Good deeds never go waste… he shud have invited him for the wedding and honoured him. But nonetheless good from both sides.” Another user added, “But the truth is most people forgot to reward honest people!!!”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a Bengaluru driver has shown such kindness. Just last month, a Rapido driver displayed similar sincerity when he tracked down a passenger to return a pair of earphones she had left behind.

Sambhavi, a city resident, had taken a short Rapido ride in Indiranagar to meet her brother for dinner. A little while after she got off, she received a Google Pay notification from the driver, Jahrul. Worried she had been charged twice, she opened the message only to realise that Jahrul had found her earphones.

He assured her he would keep them safe, and asked when she could collect them. Even with the Diwali rush, he followed up on Monday morning to return them personally, insisting he neither wanted to keep them nor sell them.
