Bengaluru, known as India’s startup hub, never runs out of surprises when it comes to entrepreneurial stories. The latest to capture everyone’s attention is Samuel Christy, an auto-rickshaw driver with a graduate degree, whose innovative approach has gone viral online.
A Reddit user recently posted a photo of a poster displayed in Christy’s auto, which reads: “Hi passenger, my name is Samuel Christy. I’m a graduate who is looking to raise funds for my startup business idea. If you’re interested, please talk to me.”
The post, titled “Yet another Peak Bengaluru moment,” struck a chord with viewers.

The auto-rickshaw driver’s creative approach to fundraising has sparked diverse reactions on Reddit, capturing Bengaluru’s mixed opinions on such innovative efforts.
One person said, “I think it’s a great effort. Hope he is doing something good and hope he succeeds!” Another chimed in, addressing critics, “Everybody who’s talking about the grammatical errors, I’m sure this man will achieve more than what you guys will ever achieve in life.”

Recently, another Bengaluru auto-rickshaw driver made headlines in a city renowned for its inventiveness by using a novel method to bridge the linguistic gap in the city.

He displayed a pamphlet called “Learn Kannada With Auto Kannadiga,” which had common Kannada expressions translated into English, inside his vehicle. He said he wanted to help non-Kannada speakers learn the language while riding in his auto-rickshaw.
