Industrialist Anand Mahindra, who regularly posts inspirational content or interesting videos on social media, has been taken aback by a netizen who asked him for Rs 1 lakh to buy shares of his Mahindra company.
The comment came in response to a post Mahindra wrote on Wednesday about restaurateur Rohit Khattar’s new venture. “The irrepressible Rohit Khattar strikes again. After creating the phenomenally successful restaurant brands INDIAN ACCENT, COMORIN, HOSA & KOLOMAN, his company EHV International has just launched in Goa its 5th restaurant brand “FIREBACK”—showcasing exceptional Thai cuisine. The decor, ambience & setting are—without exaggeration—all stunning. Disclosure: My family office has invested in EHV. So don’t take my word for it—check it out this holiday season,” he posted.
However, what caught the business tycoon’s eye was this comment: “Sir mujhe 1 lakh rs chaiye mahindra ka share kharidna ka liya (Sir I need Rs 1 lakh to buy shares of the Mahindra company).”
Impressed by the man’s courage, the Mahindra Group chairperson, who has 10.9 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), retorted in a witty way, “What an idea Sirji. Aapki himmat ke liye Taaliyaan! Poochne mein kya jaata hai? (What an idea sir, applause to your courage. What is the harm in asking).”
“Sir ji he got attention from you, you have made his 2023 memorable,” an X user commented. “Awesome, the level of confidence,” said another. “Good one! Like the humor, something missing badly now a days,” another user wrote.
