It won’t be an exaggeration to say that Artificial Intelligence has become the talk of the town. AI-generated images have shown the possibility of showcasing impossible scenarios like snowfall in Delhi or astronauts dressed in bridal attire. While naysayers continue to debate about the merits of AI as an art form, AI-generated images continue to go viral and prompt discussion.

Jyo John Mulloor, who calls himself an “Artificial Intelligence Enthusiast” and “AI Time Traveller” on Instagram, posted AI-generated images of historical figures like Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein and Elvis Presley clicking selfies. The series of portraits have been made using the AI software Midjourney and Photoshop.

The photos show Vladimir Lenin, Marilyn Monroe, Bob Marley, Jawaharlal Nehru, BR Ambedkar and Subhas Chandra Bose as well clicking selfies with other people who seem to belong to their time period. “Upon retrieving my old hard drive, I discovered a treasure trove of selfies sent to me by friends from the past,” Mulloor captioned the posts on Instagram.

“Love from India,” commented a user. “Incredible work! The kind of depth, detailing and ambiance you created around the main character is perfectly balanced!! Would love to see some modern masters with some old masters crossover,” another person posted. “I love the whole series! Good reminder that all of them, for better or worse, were real people and would have done selfies if they had the technology!” another netizen expressed.

Recently, an AI artist named Julian created photos showing former US president Barack Obama and ex-German chancellor Angela Merkel having fun on the beach. Julian took to Instagram to share photos of the world leaders having a gala time. From enjoying the waves to making sand castles and having ice cream, the two leaders are seen in a relaxed and jovial mood.
