What is your ‘desi’ Bridgerton title? Watch this video and decide

Dear gentle readers and Netflix, would you cast characters with these titles for the next season?

BridgertonThe video went viral on Instagram with 62,361 likes.

It’s rare to see mainstream TV series where brown girls aren’t just stereotypes or token characters. It’s refreshing how in Bridgerton Season 2, the Sharma sisters redefined representation, bringing authenticity to the popular Netflix show.

With Season 3 also coming to an end on a happy note, social media is abuzz with videos discussing scenes and theories about a possible next season. One video by @ishitta.arun caught our attention, showing a woman scrolling through her Instagram feed filled with Bridgerton content. The video captioned “Problems of a desi Bridgerton fan” depicts her trying out the “What will be your Bridgerton name?” game.

The instructions were simple: choose ‘lord’ or ‘lady’ based on your middle name, add ‘ton’ to the last beverage you drank, and complete it with the first part of your street name followed by ‘shire’.

Followed the instructions, she chooses “lady,” adds her middle name, Gajodhar, then “ton” to her last drink, kaadha, making it “Kaadhaton,” followed by the first part of her street name, Bhendi, and ending it with “shire” – “Lady Gajodhar Kaadhaton of Bhendishire.” Her expression as she loudly pronounced the words was hilarious. But then again, that’s probably how all our Bridgerton titles would sound too.

In the end, she gave up and screamed, saying she doesn’t want to play the game anymore.
