Aravind Srinivas, the Indian-origin CEO of Perplexity AI, had a memorable moment in Paris when he met Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Both leaders are in the city for the AI Action Summit, an event co-chaired by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, bringing together global policymakers and tech executives to shape the future of AI.

Sharing a photo of their meeting, Srinivas expressed his excitement, writing, “Great meeting you @sundarpichai,” as the two posed with smiles for the camera.

The photo quickly went viral, amassing almost half a million views within hours. It also sparked a flood of reactions. Many pointed out their shared roots in Tamil Nadu, while others suggested they should “collaborate and make the best search engine together.”

One user called the picture, “The past and the future.” Another user said, “what you search is searching you.”

A third user commented, “You should collaborate and make the best search engine together Google has funds and you have best team to work on and better AI for humanity not just for money.”

A fourth individual called them “David and Goliath,” whereas someone else wrote, “Predator meets the Pray.”

Meanwhile, Pichai shared a post on X about his meeting with PM Modi during his time in Paris for the AI Action Summit.
