Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, has bagged a one-of-a-kind Play Button from YouTube. The world’s “most-subscribed” YouTuber became the first content creator to surpass 400 million subscribers on the video-streaming platform. Donaldson shared the news on his social media with a picture featuring YouTube CEO Neal Mohan.
The viral post is turning heads due to the custom-made Play Button made up of polished metal and embedded with a striking blue stone at its center. Sharing the news, Donaldson wrote, “400,000,000 Subscriber Play Button! Thank you YouTube.”

The post quickly gained traction, but was met with mixed reactions. “You are basically Youtube. They owe you a lot more than that lol,” a user wrote. “Yo Beast, I challenge you back to oldschool vids and record yourself saying ”Desu” 100k times?” another user commented.
“400M views and yet still he cannot produce a natural smile. Astounding,” a third user reacted. “You deserve more! You worked hard for it,” a fourth user wrote.
The milestone was achieved on June 1 when MrBeast overtook all competition by reaching 400 million subscribers, a massive leap ahead of T-Series, the next most-subscribed channel with around 299 million subscribers.
At the time, MrBeast took to social media to reflect on the journey, and wrote, “400,000,000 subscribers! A decade ago before I blew up everyone in my life told me I was too obsessed and constantly told I’d never make it. Despite that I was in love with making content and grinded every moment my eyes were open for 7 years before anyone started watching. I literally told my mom I’d rather be homeless than do anything else. The greatest gift in life is being able to wake up everyday with a purpose and thanks to YouTube and you guys, I have that. Thanks for 400M.”
