Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has slammed the intense scrutiny she has been facing as a young actor. Sharing a video on Instagram, Millie slammed several media articles written by journalists about her body and face, highlighting the unrealistic expectations in the film industry. The British actor recently faced body-shaming during her appearance at the Electric State tour, with some critics unfairly claiming she appeared older than her actual age.

In the video, Millie reflected on starting her career at just 10 years old and growing up in the spotlight. “For some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me. Instead, they expect me to stay frozen in time,” she said, addressing the criticism of her evolving appearance. The 21-year-old didn’t hold back, directly calling out articles and headlines criticising her appearance and personal choices.

She pointed to articles with titles like “Why are Gen Zers like Millie Bobby Brown ageing so badly?” and “What has Millie Bobby Brown done to her face?” She also highlighted how some writers, including women, have contributed to the negativity. “This isn’t journalism. This is bullying,” she said.
