Native to Africa, Asia, and Australia, pythons are known for their giant size and hunting abilities. Unlike venomous snakes, pythons kill their prey by wrapping around them and squeezing tightly until the animal suffocates. While many fear pythons despite their non-venomous nature, a video of a man relaxing with a massive python in his bed has stunned the internet.
The viral video shows Mike Holtson, popular as ‘The Real Tarzan’ on the internet, calmly reading a book in bed alongside a python and a dog. Sharing the video, he wrote, “Best caption wins. Tag your bestie.”

The video sparked a debate as many social media users criticised Holtson for trying to tame reptiles, garnering over 14 million views. “Awwww this is so sweet .. remind me of me and my ex,” a user wrote. “I don’t care how cool that snake may seem…. He’s always thinking of making a snake move,” another user commented.
“Absolutely NOT!!!! The snake has to go!!” a third user reacted. “boy that snake is sitting there on how he Going to take both of you down,” another user commented.
Notably, some species, like the reticulated python, can grow over 20 feet long and are one of the longest snakes on the planet. Despite their striking size, pythons are often kept as exotic pets. However, they require special care due to their size and dietary needs.
Last week, a video of a reticulated python floating in floodwaters in Thailand, reportedly after consuming a dog. The reptile had a bulging stomach and was seen drifting along a submerged road.
